Dallas

When I lived in Victoria, I used to always love walking down to Dallas Rd at sunset. Here you could smell the ocean breeze and see seagulls three times the size of any seagull you'd ever seen before. And the dogs! I pet so many happy dogs on my many walks there. It was on these walks that I learned kiteboarding was a thing too. I used to sit there and just watch everyone, everything. It was just pure feel-good energy. The wind was always so strong that the birds always looked like they were floating over the ocean. One of my best memories there was when a friend and I discovered this giant wall of gorse flowers that we ended up lovingly harvesting and infusing into some honey. I still crave that gorse honey often - it was the best tasting honey I have ever had. I miss the adventure that was always to be had on Dallas Road and thought I would name these earrings after all of my happy memories there. Do you have a happy place like this too?
